February Worship - Burn 24/7 Durham

  • United Reformed Church, Waddington Street, Durham (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The next Burn worship session is coming soon…

Here’s a message from the team:

It’s a significant season for our nation, full of challenges, but we are full of hope and expectation, seeing God powerfully at work to bring revival and awakening to our land.

It’s a time to call on His Name and ask Him for more grace and breakthrough. But FIRST and ABOVE ALL ELSE we want want to seek His wonderful face for His own sake. We want to see our nation totally captivated with the beauty of Jesus, and multitudes brought into a first love encounter with their Saviour and Lord. So first that’s what we want to stir in the church and in our own hearts.

Our next Burn is a space to do just that.... Time set aside... Time to simply gaze on Him and let the knowing of Him sink deep into our beings. When we do that - everything else flows from Who He Is…. and we will see God's glory in the church like never before.

We hope you can join us, and some amazing worship leaders, as we seek Him. Come for an hour or come overnight!! :) We're praying that you get a fresh and powerful revelation of His incredible love for you… We love Him because He first loved us.

Blessings
Will and Dan

February overnight Burn

On Feb 16th our next "Evening till Morning" worship will be happening along with intercession in Durham city, running from 7pm Friday to 7am Saturday. Many thanks to the Durham Waddington Street United Reformed Church for opening up their home to us.

Come for as much or as little as you'd like as we create a space to simply behold Jesus. Be expectant to hear Him speaking as we spend time in His presence. He is longing to meet with us!

This is a great opportunity to join churches from across Durham in worship and this time we will be praying for Durham Inter-Collegiate Christian Union’s event week where they will be giving every Durham student the chance to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Burn 24/7 It is a movement of burning hearts all across the globe returning back to our first love, Jesus, and then taking his love to the nations.

For almost 8 years Burn 24/7 Durham has been gathering people on a monthly basis to unite around the Presence of God for extended hours of nonstop worship and prayer known as “Burns”.

Burn 24/7 Durham invites people from across County Durham to passionately pursue and seek His face. We fully expect to encounter Jesus as we draw near to him because he longs to dwell among and live in his people! We are believing that our families, communities, towns, cities and nation can be radically transformed by His lasting and sustaining Glory in our midst.

February Burn

Saturday 18th February 2017

7:00pm until 11:00pm

1, Lowes Court, The Downs, Durham, DH1 4NR

[ Between Nevilles Cross and the Duke of Wellington pub ]

We’re gathering for a few hours to seek Jesus and pray for our region, led by some really great worship leaders. There’s something so good that happens when we make space for the Lord to meet us, and when we call on His beautiful Name He is so eager to respond and reveal Himself to us. We’re loving doing this in a living room, with the technology stripped back to basics, just the family of God face to face with the Father Son and Spirit, community in communion with the Living One. Hope you can join us for some or all of it.

Next month March 11th we’re so pleased to be getting a visit from Martin and Bekah Neil. Martin is an amazing drummer, who among other things plays as Kevin Prosch’s rhythm section. Martin and Bekah travel the world, spending a lot of time with indigenous communities and ‘redeeming’ culture and rhythm for the kingdom. They’ll be leading hand drum and percussion workshops and sharing stories with us. Watch this space…. it’s going to be a really good day.
